Introductory lecture by Herman van Rompuy, honorary doctor of the National Academy of Sciences, chairman of the European Council (2010-2014); of the 28th Prime Minister of Belgium, as part of the Certificate Program in European Studies. The program in European studies was introduced jointly by the Center for European Humanities Studies and the Department of Political Science of NAUKMA in cooperation with the University of Louvain in Belgium.
